This matter was listed before the High Court Judge for Review on Tuesday 24th September 2024.
Following several meetings and negotiations with the legal team for the PSNI significant progress has been made in recent months.
The legal team for the PSNI informed the Judge that liability had been admitted and that the remaining issues in dispute would be causation and quantum. The parties proposed that mediation is the most pragmatic way to try and progress these claims and the Judge welcomed this development. Mediation is due to take place in the coming weeks and the matter has been listed for a further review in December 2024.
