VW Emissions Claims
Since the Volkswagen emissions scandal was uncovered in 2015, Volkswagen have acknowledged that so-called “defeat devices” had been installed in a vast number of it’s diesel vehicles which allowed them to activate emissions controls whilst under test conditions, and deactivate them whilst on the road. Investigators have found that in road conditions, affected Volkswagen vehicles were emitting more than 40 times the legal limit of Nitrogen Oxide, which is known to cause respiratory problems.
It is believed to effect the owners of 1.2 million Volkswagen vehicles within the UK, who as yet remain uncompensated for the diminishment in value of their affected vehicle, or indeed for the inconvenience of having to have their vehicle “repaired” by Volkswagen to ensure that emissions remain within the legal limits.
In 2016, Volkswagen reached a settlement with American vehicle owners worth approximately £12 billion. However, UK owners remain uncompensated despite being victims of the same breaches of legislation and consumer confidence in the brand.
Although a group legal action is currently underway in England and Wales, this action will not include vehicle owners situated in Northern Ireland.
We are taking action on behalf of Volkswagen owners within Northern Ireland and will fight to ensure that those financially affected by the scandal are compensated for their loss.
We have already received instructions from a large number of vehicle owners and companies who own vehicles wishing to join the group litigation and should you wish to receive further information about joining the action or to ascertain what details we require from you, email us at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org or complete the form below.
